Marriage is hard…really hard…even in the best of relationships. We are forced to make choices every day that can lead to the growth or the destruction of this most sacred of relationships between a man and a woman. We offer several opportunities to learn the tools necessary to fight FOR your marriage (not with each other), and to walk into the great adventure that God has for you…together.

Newly Engaged?

Congratulations on your engagement!

This is a wonderful time in your life, filled with much joy and anticipation, and we are delighted that your wedding plans include River Valley Church.

We are committed to helping you make this special time the best. Our desire is not only a memorable wedding but, more importantly, a marriage built on a strong and healthy foundation: Jesus Christ and His Word.

Psalm 127:1 says: “If GOD doesn’t build the house, the builders only build shacks.” Message Bible.

To this end, we require all couples who desire to be married by one of the River Valley pastors and/or hold their ceremony on the church campus, to do the following:

  • Take the Prepare Inventory and meet with trained marriage mentors.
  • Attend worship services here at River Valley on a regular basis.
  • Agree to remain sexually pure until after the wedding ceremony.

The cost for the premarital requirements and the wedding varies.
